Frequently asked questions
Why does music start when I open the app?
That is the default design, so training begins without another tap. You can pause in the app, on the Lock Screen, in Control Center, or with headset controls.
What happens when I tap “Go Heavier”?
The app switches to a separately mastered gravity-overdrive track for up to three minutes. You can start it successfully twice per day, and a use is consumed only after audio actually begins.
Does playback continue when locked?
Yes. After playback starts, you may lock the phone or use another app. System media controls remain available.
Why does playback pause when headphones disconnect?
This prevents music from suddenly playing through the speaker. Confirm the current audio output, then press play once to continue.
Why is no new music appearing?
Generating and downloading music requires a network connection and may take time. Cached music keeps playing. Heavier prefers unheard tracks and replenishes the background inventory when it runs low.
How do I skip a track?
Tap the next-track button or swipe left across the large song title. To keep controls minimal, there is no previous-track action.
Gravity-overdrive behavior
- The three-minute timer pauses whenever playback is paused.
- Pressing next during overdrive ends it and returns to normal music.
- The two energy cores represent today's two remaining opportunities.
- A download or playback failure does not consume a use.
Before contacting us
- Confirm that the device can access the internet.
- Confirm that iPhone is using the intended audio output.
- Quit and reopen Heavier.
- If the issue remains, note the approximate time and take a screenshot.
Apple Watch and new-music limits
Apple Watch controls the paired iPhone; it does not play or generate music independently. Both devices share the two daily overdrive uses.
During the current test period, the new-music generation quota resets at 00:00 Beijing time (UTC+8). If the quota is exhausted or replenishment fails, already cached music continues to play. This quota is separate from the two daily overdrive uses.
